Scope: Provide an on-demand audiovisual archive shortly after the parliament concludes.
Parliamentary Video Replay Service
Daily on Demand leverages the existing live streaming service and the "log notes" generated by stenographers during the parliamentary session. DoD captures the media and log notes, and makes the recording available online. On sitting days there are usually three sessions to be processed.
The system is being trialled as a way to achieve better turnaround time for people that use the parliamentary proceedings.
It's a Ruby on Rails application integrated with Apple's QuickTime RTSP streaming technology.
